Business Coaching or Business Consultancy
We provide both business coaching and business consultancy but there is an important difference.
In business coaching we are working on you and your business. Our objective is to transfer the relevant parts of our knowledge to you. If you want a business plan, we will teach you how to write a business plan. We’ll review your early drafts and provide encouraging but constructive feedback so that you learn how to write a better business plan,
In business consultancy our focus is on the agreed work activity. If you want us to write a business plan, we’ll write a business plan. While you’ll have a good plan you won’t have learnt how to do it yourself because the focus is on the task rather than focusing on the transfer of knowledge.
Depending on your objectives and the work situation, either may be the right solution.
For example I don’t want to know how to be a better car mechanic so I’m just interested in paying someone to do that task. You may not want to know how to write a business plan or a marketing letter and therefore you are prepared to pay someone else to do the work.
The choice of business coaching or business consultancy is yours.
